Building a water well 35 meters underground

I want to share the 6 month process of building a water well inside Forestation Peru.

Every step of water well digging will be described here. So far we have completed one 35 meter water well.

This is how we started diging you can see the tools inside.

The setup on top looks like this:

thats how we bring up rocks, dirt and people while building a man made well.

after you dig a couple of meters under you can cement the walls to avoid accidents.

cemented water well

it depends on the material how to cement but we did it by diging 4 3 meters downs and cementing two rings of 1.2 meters each.

between each ring you can leave about 20cm. This process will help you so your water well does not colapse.

After you reach the water you can start intalling the water pump, if your water well dries up while pumping you still got more diging to do.
pumping from a water well

you will need to dig until the water does not dry up while pumping.

At the end this is what you get. Now we can start planting trees.
